Fibery Goodness

This isn't my most recent handspun, but my first skein that I was gloating about not too long ago:

Isn't it purty? It's got black, burgundy, dark pink, purple, green and teal in it.

I just got done spinning, plying, and washing some of the softest superwash merino ever. But since it's still drying, pictures will wait.

Want to see what is on my wheel right now?

In batt form

I got this from the seller Wooly Treasures on Etsy. The whole shebang is around 3.5 oz but she cut it up into 6 mini batts, which is really helpful. This batt is called "In Bloom" and consists of BFL, silk, and glitz. Pretty huh?

And for you Brigitte:

Ooooooo! Hello Iris! Oh, you're so cute! You know, I wish I could come over and just cuddle you (I get mushy like that around animals).

You know, I find the whole process of spinning so fascinating. I'd love to try it...one day *sigh*.

Oh wow, loving the handspun. I was looking rather mournfully at my spinning wheel last night. I haven't had a chance to spin in ages.
