Hello from Illinois!

We are visiting my in-laws and we went to St. Louis yesterday. We went to Knitorious, in St. Louis, MO. and I was in heaven. I got this :)

22 balls of Rowan Yorkshire Tweed 4-ply for this:

It is a tiny, tiny knit. I'm knitting it on 1's. Ow. But the shop experience was awesome. I have to drive 2 hours to get to a yarn store, and it's not a very good one. It's nice to have someone to talk to and all. It was great. But I guess I can show a boo boo, too.

This is supposed to be the Somewhat Cowl from Wendy Bernard. Can ya tell I have never knit a sweater from the top down? LOL. If anybody has any tips on how to
knit a top down sweater, please do share!

Oh you poor thing! The thing about top down, is well at least I think, it's very easy, but you have to understand it first. Do you know what you did? I could be more help then. Email me if you want and I'll give whatever advice I can. ;) Good luck on the tiny gauge. I have yet to get the courage for that! Socks on size 1 are hard enough lol. ;)

It's really not difficult - just follow the instructions, and make sure to use the stitch markers!

It's going to be lovely! I have the Somewhat Cowl pattern too...somewhere.
